First Look: 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43
Mercedes-AMG just revealed a revised version of the W206-generation C-Class, which first debuted in 2021. This fiery new sedan, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43, receives a number of changes for the new model year as it loses two cylinders, adds more power, and gains technology first used by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. An electrifying new powerplant The previous C 43’s 385-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 has been replaced by Mercedes-AMG’s M139L engine. The new engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder rated at 402 hp and 369 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm, aided by a 48-volt hybrid system that temporarily generates an additional 13 hp. A 9-speed, wet dual clutch transmission comes standard as does all-wheel drive that can send up to 69% of the engine’s torque to the rear wheels.
